SAMPE Global Board of Directors Elects New Leader

31 May 2019 (Diamond Bar, CA, USA) SAMPE, the only global technical association serving professional engineers who work in advanced materials and processes, has elected its 2019 – 2020 Global Officers.
Serving as its global president is Professor Kazuro Kageyama, Kanazawa Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan. “It is a significant honor to serve all of our SAMPE members as your global president”, Professor Kageyama said. Professor Kageyama’s term starts 1 July.
Also elected to serve as Global Executive Vice President was Dr.-Ing. Xiaosu Yi, FSAMPE, University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China. SAMPE Global’s current President, Dr. Brent Strong, FSAMPE, will support Professor Kageyama as the Global Immediate Past President.
The election was held during the SAMPE North America Charlotte, NC, USA event which also celebrated SAMPE’s 75th anniversary.
The SAMPE Global Board of Directors is responsible for the overall management of SAMPE worldwide. The board supports SAMPE’s four designated regions (China, Europe, Japan, North America) and works on developing chapters in other regions whose work force is engaged in advanced materials engineering.
